A little more about Kyra...
She is currently in her final year of University, working towards her Bachelor in Kinesiology and majoring in Human Kinetics. Kyra played competitive volleyball and softball throughout her childhood into her young adult years. After graduating high school she continued on with her active lifestyle when joining a local gym and fell in love with all aspects of fitness and the lifestyle. Kyra found her love and passion for strong(wo)man in October 2017 when Derek Becker asked her to come switch things up and try out strongman training. The first day she trained strong(wo)man she fell in love with the sport and this immediately set a flame in her to compete in the upcoming season and prepare for her first show. Kyra took home first place in the U70kg division at this show, where she qualified to compete at Saskatchewan’s Strongest (Provincial Championships) as a middleweight athlete. With this being her rookie year she wanted to get more experience in competing so she decided to compete in an upcoming heavyweight show in June, being the only U70kg athlete in this show she took home 6th place overall. From here Kyra began to train for the Provincial championship, where she claimed the title of Saskatchewan's 2nd Strongest U70kg and earned her a spot to represent Saskatchewan and middleweights at Canadian Nationals. She is now training for Nationals where she hopes to win a spot to the Arnold World Amateur Championship as well as hoping to qualify for Worlds Strongest Woman!
