Early Life

Ashley attended the University of Oklahoma and has two degrees in Aviation Management(she holds a commercial license with instrument and multi-engine ratings) and Broadcast and Electronic Media. She moved to California three years ago and got a job working for reading rainbow (yes, Levar Burton was her boss). She was competing in crossfit competitions the entire time while living out in California, but suffered a tear to her shoulder which ultimately made her forget about the sport and tailor it to what she does best-lifting awkwardly shaped things up and down. She found Scott Brengel from ECWC and never looked backed. Supplementing her strongman workouts she later found Scot Mendelson to coach her in powerlifting. So naturally, these two sports have become her life and now she manages Mendelson’s gym in the valley and does private training as well.
